Your mail server certificate is invalid error

I am attempting to use Outlook on my android phone.  When I attempt to add my email account to outlook (on my phone) I get an error that says:  Your mail certificate is invalid.  Would you like to login anyway.   PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Outlook doesn't work on Android with major ISPs email.  Used to, but stopped about 2 months ago.  Try to connect, get "your server certificate is invalid".  Many many forum entries. Microsoft are clearly just hoping the problem will go away.  Other Android email clients work fine (I have tried three.  I'm using the gmail app as a workround.)

    The problem is - what do you do when it is NOT your email server? If it is your ISPs (which is the case for many reporting this issue) you are, frankly, STUFFED.

    So sorry, but that isn't much help.

    Found the solution!

    Regardless of what Microsoft says this is not about TLS 1.2 as Outlook still works with some exchange servers (e.g. Exchange 2010 running on Win2k8R2 with TLS 1.2 disabled).

    This is about cipher suites supported by the server or any other proxy in between (e.g. ISA).

    You have to enable TLS RSA with AES 256 or 128 cipher suite support to get email working again.

    In case your Exchange server is running on Win2k3 or you have other infrasteucture in between on it - get this patch installed:

    I did but BlueMail has LOTS of problems when there is a lot of mail, places where outlook didn't fail.

    Interesting....

    How much mail do you define as a lot? What sort of problems?

    For me the major obvious failings of Outlook for Android, even compared to the pretty dire version for Windows 10 Mobile never mind the proper desktop Outlook, make it unusable for my main stuff.
