Cannot Preview PDF attachments in Outlook Web Access

We have Exchange on O365 and User desktops of Outlook 2016.  Some users have Outlook on their mobile phones also.

We can preview PDF files in Outlook emails on the Desktop Outlook and on mobile phone with outlook.

We cannot preview PDF files in Outlook on the web browser.  We can preview office files but PDF files display a blank grey page.  

We can download PDF files to onedrive and open and view them from onedrive.   

  1. Should we be able to preview PDF files in Outlook on the Web Browser?
  2. Can this be enabled to work?

    Barry, we have several thousand people using O365 for emails now and about 2 dozen or more have noticed this issue.

    We are able to open the sample file on our side. For now, we need to collect some log to troubleshoot this issue. I will provide the detailed steps in the private message. Please click your name on the forum and select View private messages to access it.

    Meanwhile, do any other users in your organization encounter the same problem?

    Sorry Barry, I was out yesterday at another site.

    Here is what I see in Win7 with IE11.  i asked to preview the pdf and it shows a grey space where the PDF should display.  If i right click on the PDF file it only shows the Preview and Save to OneDrive options.

    how do i attach the PDF file to this reply?
