Outlook Android App E-Mail Notification Sounds

Hi,

My phone is a Honor 8.

This is a screenshot of the settings-notifications page.

I have no such option in my settings in the outlook mail app for android phones.

I had same issue, but

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

It was ridiculously easy... Damn!

Here the procedure:

• open Outlook
• go to settings
• go to Mail, Notifications
• go to App icon badges

Now, under the account, you can tap on Event reminder or Mail. For both you can choose many options, and the second is the NOTIFICATION SOUND! YESSS!!!

Many thanks Francesco, that has enabled me to set sensible sounds for my Outlook received mail on my Huawei P Smart.  Shame we users have to be the ones to provide solutions rather than the product/software support teams.  Incidentally when I use the settings path I originally used when I reported the problem that now works correctly also!  So it seems someone in a software team has identified the cause of the problem and fixed it without feeling it appropriate to tell the users who have been reporting the issue on this thread!!

Had the same question for my huawei p30 pro and the solution is simpler than uninstalling the whole app. All u need to do is delete the email account that doesnt show the "outlook new email sound" and add it again. This will restore the default outlook sound. 

It's a bit weird though, that the sound is not listed. So if u click any other sound, u won't be able to restore the outlook sound!
