Outlook Android App E-Mail Notification Sounds

Can you please fix the Outlook Android App incoming notifications sounds?  Cannot select Outlook E-Mail sound anymore in new sounds.  Outlook EMail and Outlook EMail Sent are both in the sent sounds.  The Outlook sounds got erased from new emails list in a past update and have never been replaced.

    Still broken on Essentials PH-1. Selecting new email sound takes you to Android Notification Category. If you try to change the sound there, it results in an android.process.media crash. This is after a full factory wipe / reset.

    This issue has been ignored. I can confirm in January of 2020 the issue remains that if you by chance change the new email sound, you will be unable to change it back to the Outlook Email tone as it will not appear in the list of options.

    Only the available sounds from the device will appear. This does not occur, however, with the sent E-mail notification option which behaves as it should.

    While a better solution would consist of Microsoft actually fixing this, here is what does work: Uninstall and reinstall the app. Any accounts added upon app setup will have outlook's app provided sounds assigned by default.

    I have been experiencing the same issue on my Redmi Note 8 device.

    The latest version of Outlook app for Android is installed on the device and it doesn't allow me to choose a specific notification sound for incoming e-mails. The only thing I can do is to turn on/off notification sounds. 

    However, it is possible to change the notification sound for outgoing e-mails.

    I have tried installing some older versions of the app but none of them allowed me to change the notification sound either.

    This is so annoying.

    Contacted the in-app support and waiting for their reply.

    Hi all,

    I had same issue, but

    I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

    It was ridiculously easy... Damn!

    Here the procedure:

    • open Outlook
    • go to settings
    • go to Mail, Notifications
    • go to App icon badges

    Now, under the account, you can tap on Event reminder or Mail. For both you can choose many options, and the second is the NOTIFICATION SOUND! YESSS!!!
