Outlook Android App E-Mail Notification Sounds

Can you please fix the Outlook Android App incoming notifications sounds?  Cannot select Outlook E-Mail sound anymore in new sounds.  Outlook EMail and Outlook EMail Sent are both in the sent sounds.  The Outlook sounds got erased from new emails list in a past update and have never been replaced.

    Well done, crackjackx!

    It's been almost a full year of MS trying to wrap their heads around this one and your simple workaround got the job done.

    It worked like a charm for me and, as a bonus (and unlike uninstalling and reinstalling), it preserved my app  inbox preferences for swiping, theme, conversation view, etc.

    Nice!

    I'm glad to know it worked for you. I still wonder what is preventing MS from solving it.

    OK, I somehow stumbled upon a workaround, so please try this if you want. It worked for me:

    1. Add another email address to the Outlook app (I added my Gmail a/c)
    2. For that account, the "Outlook Mail" notification sound came up in the list (which was originally missing for my Outlook.com account). I selected that sound for my Gmail account
    3. I then removed my Outlook.com account
    4. Then added it back again
    5. Voila, I can now see that the "Outlook Mail" sound is selected for me Outlook.com account. I still can't see it in my list (it appears as App provided sound)
    6. Removed my Gmail account

    I hope this works for others.

    My understanding on HTC 10 is that for "outgoing mail" notification sound, Outlook probably handles itself the choice of the sound, while for "incoming sound", it let the default phone notification handler provide a choice, and that one is not aware of the default Outlook-provided sounds. To set the default sound notification for a specific app, NotifiCon app might help (although if you have multiple e-mail accounts in Outlook, they will probably all get the same sound set in NotifiCon while Outlook seems to provide a way to set a specific sound for each account, but I am not able to customize my Exchange and Outlook.com accounts, while Office 365 one looks OK...). 

    So maybe the use of NotifiCon with the sounds retrieved by Francesco could more or less solve the problem described by the OP without resetting the accounts if other settings/methods did not work...
