Outlook Android App E-Mail Notification Sounds

Can you please fix the Outlook Android App incoming notifications sounds?  Cannot select Outlook E-Mail sound anymore in new sounds.  Outlook EMail and Outlook EMail Sent are both in the sent sounds.  The Outlook sounds got erased from new emails list in a past update and have never been replaced.

    I did as you suggested and uninstalled and reinstalled the Outlook app.  The new e-mail sound came back as Outlook EMail and is noted as App provided sound under Sound in the App Notifications tab.  However you still cannot select it from the new email sounds list.  It does not appear.  It only appears in the Sent Email sounds list along with the Outlook EMail Sent sound.

    In case of need, these are original sounds, taken from apk file.

    You can copy them to sdcard\notification folder

    New Mail

    Sent mail

    Calendar reminder

    You replicated on the "Android" Outlook app and have no issues?  

     I can no longer select a sound for incoming mail either, when you click to select incoming mail sounds it opens Notification settings.

    Rather than hundreds of folks contacting Outlook for help, how about one Tech do so and then post that solution right here where people are looking for help?

    Now for everyone in need.

    I have the same problem and no way to fix it.

    But there is a rellatively simple work-around:

    1. Go to your Windows directory: "C:\Windows\Media" and look for the file "Windows Notify Email.wav".
    2. Copy this file to your Android smartphone in the folder "Phone\Notifications" (it has to be on the phone, not the microSD card!)

    -- If not already there, just create it yourself. (note the spelling!) 3. Now you can find the Outlook sound among the standard Android notification sounds.

    (In the same way, completely custom sounds are also possible)

    Enjoy the sound :)

    Hi all,

    I had same issue, but

    I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

    It was ridiculously easy... Damn!

    Here the procedure:

    • open Outlook
    • go to settings
    • go to Mail, Notifications
    • go to App icon badges

    Now, under the account, you can tap on Event reminder or Mail. For both you can choose many options, and the second is the NOTIFICATION SOUND! YESSS!!!
