Contact keeps re-appearing despite deleting, multiple copies!

I don't know what to do anymore, apart from migrating to google: ONE (and only one so far) of my contacts keep duplicating itself in my people list. No matter how many times I delete it, and where: I tried to delete both online on people.live.com and on the W10 people app. Multiple copies keep reappearing after a few hours.

This has now reached intolerable levels of frustration and I will move everything to google if a reasonable solution is not provided by MS quickly.

    I am also facing the exact same issue. I tried removing my account from all the devices as well as removed all the devices from my Microsoft account and changed the password. Even then the contact keeps coming back with multiple entries linked together. I have turned off syncing for Outlook contacts in both my PC and Phone and the contact yet multiplies. What's worse, I tried moving to Google contacts but they are not syncing to my phone. So, my Lumia 730 has 0 contacts right now and this is making me very frustrated.

    I have the same problem. I've unlinked all mail boxes I can find, just using oulook.live.com and I get deleted contacts reappearing, and contacts replicating. Where are they coming from? Since when does delete not mean delete?

    Yes, two in fact, an iPad and a Nexus.

    I'm actually helping my Dad who is in the UK, 89 years old and stressed out about this!  So far he has turned off syncing contacts on the iPad (vial Settings -> Mail -> Accounts -> Outlook, flip the Contacts switch to disabled).  I asked him to power off the Nexus.  Reading other threads it appears that this problem will happen even without a device connected.

    Here's the next screen shot given we've got a few more 'JE' contacts in the last few minutes (we're up to 8!):

    Yes, Outlook for Android. However the duplication appears also when the phone is off, and actually I have tried disconnecting the phone and still replication occurs, so I'd exclude the phone.

    Exactly.  I deleted the single contact again (JE in the image below) (in the people hub of outlook.live.com), and now after about fifteen minutes I have the same contact back again with five duplicates.  I literally leave the browser open and watch the contact reappear, right now five times:

    More will appear shortly (note I have 'bound' it with JL and JS so the problem contact is JE

    I'll send an updated image once it's done a few more replications.
