Since Microsoft "upgraded" Outlook Live a month or so ago, I've had problems editing details, such as email addresses and phone numbers, for people in my Contacts list. For instance, one contact's first name, last name, personal email, cell phone and two home phone numbers are editable: if I wanted to, I could put my cursor in the box and delete or type over them. But for some reason, the business number, which is no longer valid since the person is no longer employed, can't be deleted. The box is grayed out, and when I try to highlight the number with my mouse in order to delete it, the mouse doesn't work. This is true for other contacts in my list as well. Has anyone else had this baffling and frustrating problem?

i specifically specified this was an issue with outlook live. most all replies seem to be referring toother oulook facilities so don'[t really apply to the issue i posted. specifically the loss of the plus sign infront of distributionlist that allows that list to be editted on the fly. how can i post so i dont get caught up in all the OTHER EXTRANEOUS "outlook" facllity issues?
this 'response' is concerning Outlook Desktop (as part of MS Office), so like I said, wasn't sure it would help anyone.

I dont know what it is called. It is outlook email and I am using a desktop. And there is no 'view source' area after clicking on a contact.
where is the 'view source area'?
Is this for Outlook Live or Desktop?
In Outlook 2013 & 2016: In your contacts module, open the contact you are trying to edit and click on the "View Source" area. When you click on "Outlook" link (for me), it opens the original contact form that you can edit.
