Calendar event showing up the wrong timezone

Hi there, I refer to the screenshots below. The user, Pamela, sends out a calendar invite to both Jeff and Kok Guan, specifying the correct timezone UTC +0800. However, what Jeff views this event on his Mac running on Yosemite 10.10.2 is the UTC +0000 timezone, Monrovia, Reykjavik. The time indicated is displayed 6am instead of the actual 2pm, despite showing a notification that the event will commence at 2pm on Jeff's Mac. How do i go about correcting/removing the UTC +0000, Monrovia, Reykjavik, timezone stamp. Appreciate some help with this. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the server update won't fix existing meetings automatically.  However, users MAY be able to fix it themselves if they find the original meeting invitation (could be in Deleted Items) and re-accept the meeting(s) with the "UTC" time zones.  (Let us know if that works.)

If that doesn't work, they will have to ask the organizer to re-send the invitation.  (Organizer just has to open the meeting on his/her calendar and click "Send Update." Make sure to "Edit Series" if it is a recurring meeting.)

    For some reason when I am scheduling meetings in outlook 15.8.1 , free/busy schedules, it is not always accurate (I.e. Shows people in meetings when they are available and vice versa).

    For the issue of Free/Busy not being accurate for Invitees and Rooms... that seems to be fixed in 15.8.2, as I was experiencing the same issue.... However I still have the time zone issue which is EXTREMELY annoying... has anyone found or heard of a fix for this?

    I have the same problem using the most recent 15.8.2 (150328) build.

    Top picture shows wrong display on 15.8.2 (150328), while the

    bottom picture shows right display on 14.4.8 (150116) on the very same machine.

    Hi all, we are aware of this problem (time zone being set to UTC/Monrovia) and are working on a solution.  This appears to happen when a meeting is created or modified by a mobile device that is using EAS (e.g., iOS/Android/WinPhone).  The meeting SHOULD still appear in the right time slot in your calendar in Outlook for Mac, though showing the time in UTC is definitely confusing.  We will provide an update as soon as we have a solution.
