Outlook Mobile for Android Sync Settings?

I just installed Outlook Mobile for work as my company moved to Office 365.

Here's my question, whenever I have previously used Outlook there was a setting option to sync email at specific intervals such as every 5 minutes, every hour, manual sync, etc. I can't find this setting any longer.

Where did it go? Thanks!

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting your query.

I would like to inform you that the sync interval  cannot be set for the Outlook application on android phone. Outlook sync automatically whenever it is connected to internet, it can be also sync by swiping the screen downwards.

    I think one workaround is by disabling background data for this app.

    Settings > Apps > Outlook > Data Usage > Restrict app Background Data

    Another way is to just load the mail in a web page and block the web page from sending notification.

    https://outlook.live.com/ : for personal email

    https://mail.office365.com : for Office 365 email

    No Dis to you PPP, but this decision on the Android Outlook Devs is a deal breaker for me.

    I do not wish to be annoyed by emails popping up that I do not want to view at that time.

    If Android Outlook decides to give me the option to sync when I want to, I will consider using it, but for now,

    I will uninstall it and use an alternative.

    I would agree.  When I'm travelling and I have a business need to get some expensive data, I don't need my personal account consuming that data without my permissions.

    Seems like a simple fix that Gmail has figured out.

    What's worse is that it will automatically over-ride your sync setting if you try to turn the damn thing off! I contacted support and they said "Oops, maybe we'll fix it later in an update ". This is as of February 2016.
