Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I upgraded 2 computers to the Office 365 February update: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/What-s-new-and-improved-in-Office-2016-for-Office-365-95c8d81d-08ba-42c1-914f-bca4603e1426?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
Ever since then search is broken in Outlook on both computers - any search returns no results. Windows 10 search outside Outlook works fine. I've rebuilt the index, used ScanPST.exe and tried other things at https://lookeen.com/blog/how-to-fix-outlook-2016-search-problems and https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Reset-indexing-by-rebuilding-your-Instant-Search-catalog-213a2728-0ef4-427a-9bb2-aed329a59b17 but the problem remains on both computers.
Did February 2017 Office 365 update break Outlook Search?

Hi Mickey,
Thanks for the private message.
After checking your email address, I found it’s not an Office 365 for Business account, right? If so, the issue you’re encountering should not be related to the incident Erick mentioned above. We didn’t receive reports regarding the issue caused by updates. Based on your description, the issue may be related to specific client side. To troubleshoot it, please firstly try the steps below and see if the issue can be fixed.
Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the download you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to the download or the downloaded technology. If you need support relating to the third party technology, please contact the manufacturer directly.
2. Run Outlook in safe mode by holding the Windows key and press R, then typing outlook.exe /safe in the open field and click OK.
3. Download Microsoft Office Configuration Analyzer Tool 2.2 and see if the issue can be fixed using the tool.
If the issue persists, I’d like to collect some information for investigation:
Any updates will be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Aaron

Wrong. I have hundreds of email addresses. It is a bit shocking that Microsoft just assumes that customers will use the same email address for every purpose. If you are trying to look up an account rather than communicate with someone, state that and accomplish the purpose you state.
And now that the instant locking of this thread is reversed, can we roll back to the January 2017 Office version and fix this without losing all our settings?
