I upgraded 2 computers to the Office 365 February update: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/What-s-new-and-improved-in-Office-2016-for-Office-365-95c8d81d-08ba-42c1-914f-bca4603e1426?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
Ever since then search is broken in Outlook on both computers - any search returns no results. Windows 10 search outside Outlook works fine. I've rebuilt the index, used ScanPST.exe and tried other things at https://lookeen.com/blog/how-to-fix-outlook-2016-search-problems and https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Reset-indexing-by-rebuilding-your-Instant-Search-catalog-213a2728-0ef4-427a-9bb2-aed329a59b17 but the problem remains on both computers.
Did February 2017 Office 365 update break Outlook Search?

YES - Office update definitely breaks Outlook search!
Can someone explain what to do about this problem before Microsoft locks down the thread again? The Microsoft folks went silent after they asked for an email and it was not the same address as the one in their records. I gave them the onmicrosoft address on the account, but that is not hooked up to email (not sure at which end, and I never used it and forget how they pestered me into creating it). I gave them the order number, but they've gone silent.
Has Microsoft pulled the update?
Can we roll back to January without messing up all our customizations?
Did February 2017 Office 365 update break Outlook Search?
YES - Office update definitely breakes Outlook search!
And now that the instant locking of this thread is reversed, can we roll back to the January 2017 Office version and fix this without losing all our settings?
After checking your email address, I found it’s not an Office 365 for Business account, right?
Wrong. I have hundreds of email addresses. It is a bit shocking that Microsoft just assumes that customers will use the same email address for every purpose. If you are trying to look up an account rather than communicate with someone, state that and accomplish the purpose you state.
