Microsoft-
Please make an increased effort to keep your software behavior consistent. Your core user group is a professional that uses this software all day everyday.
We cannot afford the time to figure out what is going on and adapt to new software behavior.
Especially behavior that adds steps to our workflow.
These are our tools of the trade and you keep changing the way my hammer drives in a nail
How much productivity have these "minor inconveniences" cost companies? Do you keep a metric for that? You can start with me if you like:
Lost productivity that is directly related to a minor change in software:
| Software |
Issure |
Time Lost Cumulative in MIn |
| Outlook |
Message Preview Pane selection moving to middle of list |
15 |
| Excel |
Sum function no longer auto filing in adjacent cells |
2 |
| Access |
Query Design-Table windows too thin, hard to grab |
10 |
| Total |
|
27 |
(To list only a few)
The biggest advantage to adopting a Saas model is the ability to quickly update your software based on customer feedback. So please, I have left many posts asking for resolution
to issues going back 4 months and have not seen any action.
Is it a numbers game? How many people must complain before you are authorized to take action?
I never entertained the thought of using open source office software. But that is beginning to change now.
Thank you,
-Accountant with a Saas company that strives on increasing our customer’s productivity and efficiency.
