Birthdays Disappearing From Outlook.com Calendar

I thought my problem would be solved

Tomorrow have 2 contacts birthday - only 1 connection is displayed in the calendar. Both contacts I registered years ago. Both contacts were already there so when I put in front of the Birthday calendar in few weeks. That helped apparently only at the 2 contacts that I mentioned in the post of 12/01/2015.

I deleted the Birthday calendar again, then I made it again. Without Success. Only 1 contact is listed in the calendar, the other contact no.

for me, the solution is even more difficult, because I can not reproduce the error.

Perhaps, you can work around this issue by applying a second account, export the calendar from the main account, import into the new one. Dont link the second account with Skype, but share with the main account.

Just an idea, I hope it works.

I definitely would NOT use the Outlook Calendar, but it's the only option since I use a Windows Phone. Actually, to be honest, it's not the only solution, the other solution would be for me to actually remember all the birthdays :-)

All I need the birthday notification for is to call those respective people on their birthdays and get them some sort of gift.

Given that the phone I have with me all the time everywhere, having it notify me would have been the most convenient solution, but I guess MS does not want that, as they don't care how good their products are.

No wonder the WP has a abysmal market share, as it's well deserved in some ways (though totally not deserved in many other ways, to be honest).

I sense your frustration Ataemonus.  As I stated previously, I did NOT grant Microsoft access to my account and your experience reinforces my decision.  I did enough research and testing and reported it quite extensively in the thread "Birthday Calendar Incidents"  That should have given them enough to go on to do their own testing.  For me the outlook calendar was just a convenient way of seeing at a glance all of the birthdays for a particular month.  That meant I could select all my e-cards at a single sitting and simply set their 'send date' to the day of the person's birthday.  When I started the birthday calendar investigations I created spreadsheet for all my contacts with birthdays and sorted it by month.  Now all I have to do is look at it and it serves the same purpose as the calendar.  I don't have to rely on it though, because my commercial e-card company will send me an e-mail  reminder one week in advance for the contacts in that address book who have birthday info.  The subscription is very inexpensive -- about 75 cents a month for a two year subscription.  Its a small price to pay to avoid all the aggravation that we go through worrying about the accuracy of the outlook calendar.  I don't know if that is a viable solution for you. Or another alternative is to create an excel spead sheet for each of your contacts with birthdays.  include columns for Month and Day and then sort the sheet by Month and Day.  Attach a copy of the sheet to an e-mail and send it to yourself.  Then save it in a folder and you can check it from your phone.  Given the numerous posts about missing birthdays and lack of any positive response from Microsoft, you may have to wait until the sun turns blue before the escalation team is able to provide any fix to the bug.  I don't think its a very high priority for them.  As another note, no one has yet posted to the discussion thread Birthday Calendar Solution to report any experience with allowing Microsoft to access their account with a resultant permanent solution to the problem.  So, I have to conclude that a solution to the existing problem still has not been found.

We keep doing the dirty work for Microsoft to no avail.

After giving them access to my account now they are asking me not only to do their job, but even fix it myself, somehow.

I am asked by the "escalation team", which is probably a fancy name for some underqualified people promoted from answering phones, for Fiddles logs and problem solver logs, although I repeatedly told them that I DO NOT TOUCH THE CALENDAR in my PC, like EVER.

So I should send them logs of what, exactly ? My regular use of the PC which has nothing to do with Outlook and Calendar ?

Bruce, you were right, giving them, Microsoft, access to my account solved nothing as they still try to point the blame at the users, after repeatedly telling them that I simply do not use that darn Calendar for anything other than my Windows Phone.
