Log out of Outlook on Android

I have outlook for work on my Android. I do not wish to be on it at all times the constant notifications are an irritation. I found a post from 2013 saying that logging out on an android was not an option. Surely by now 3 years later this has been resolved.  I currently can not find the option to log out.

    What the f...k Why i don't have sigh out option...I have couple of outlook accounts how i can switch between them...

    As usual Microsoft stupid idiotic ideas....something similar to removing the start button.

    The best solution delete the **** app.....and switching to gmail.

    At my business each employee gets a tablet for work using android OS. No employee is permitted to install outlook simply for the fact that the user can not sign out.

    Tomorrow is October 1, 2018.Does anyone have ANY idea if or when Microsoft’s Outlook App will ever give a user the OPTION TO LOG-OUT/OFF???  I mean come on folks. It’s 2018, not 1820😐

    @KimCrawley.  I had the same problem today and was able to sign out of my outlook account by:

    !.  Tap the calendar icon at the bottom of my android phone screen.

    1. Tap the options icon next to the date in the upper left of the screen (3 horizontal bars).
    2. Scroll down the drop down to the bottom and you will find a sign out option. 

    It worked for me on my Samsung A8. 

    Hope this helps. 

    Microsoft should be ashamed that they have made this so difficult. 

    Anything to make protecting your meta data more difficult eh?
