Log out of Outlook on Android

I have outlook for work on my Android. I do not wish to be on it at all times the constant notifications are an irritation. I found a post from 2013 saying that logging out on an android was not an option. Surely by now 3 years later this has been resolved.  I currently can not find the option to log out.

    @KimCrawley.  I had the same problem today and was able to sign out of my outlook account by:

    !.  Tap the calendar icon at the bottom of my android phone screen.

    1. Tap the options icon next to the date in the upper left of the screen (3 horizontal bars).
    2. Scroll down the drop down to the bottom and you will find a sign out option. 

    It worked for me on my Samsung A8. 

    Hope this helps. 

    Microsoft should be ashamed that they have made this so difficult. 

    Anything to make protecting your meta data more difficult eh?

    I've tried to do this, but I don't have the sign out option on my SAMSUNG Galaxy A (tablet)...

    I have a tablet SAMSUNG Galaxy A (2016) with Android 7.0.

    I followed your instructions in order to log out from my outlook (hotmail) account:

    1. Tap the calendar icon at the bottom of my android phone screen.
    2. Tap the options icon next to the date in the upper left of the screen (3 horizontal bars).
    3. Scroll down the drop down to the bottom and you will find a sign out option. 

    But I don't have the sign out option... unfortunately on my smartphone too (Huawei P8 lite).

    I lost my Ipad. I Immediately changed passwords for Icloud and MS accounts on my laptop. Next I checked outlook on my Android phone and guess what:  it does not require me to enter a new password, but instead it just starts up, logged on to my account and shows everything; inbox, agenda etc. etc. So if someone succeeds to break in on my lost Ipad, that person can just start Outlook on my Ipad and see everything? That is unacceptable!!

    What MORON has designed this app?
