Office for Mac 15.21.1 and Outlook message "some of the files in this web page aren't in the expected location...."

Life prior to 15.21.1 upgrade was OK.

Could start Outlook for Mac, select new email and away I go.

Following the update to 15.21.1, every time I start a new email or reply to a new email I get the message "some of the files in this web page aren't in the expected location. do you want ot download them anyway? if you're sure the web page is from a trusted source, click yes"

I assume it's referring to my signature, which is provided to my by my employer, so I trust it :-)

After that, I keep getting annoying clicks when I type on the keyboard, or boing noises...didn't encounter this, pre 15.21.1

    By the way, I made the pictures jpegs, named them specifically, and added a hyperlink.

    I had the same issue...

    I fixed it this way:

    1. Made a simple HTML table.
    2. Added the image to the left cell
    3. Added the text in the right cell
    4. Opened the page in Chrome
    5. Copy the content from Chrome
    6. Pasted it into the signature
    7. And now it works :-)

    Let me know if you have any questions. 

    This video does not help in solving the problem with having a logo/image in your signature that causes the problem. It is not really responding to the original question.

    This is still happening on 15.32 (170309).

    If you put an image into a signature directly, it resamples it causing it to blur and look terrible.

    If you put a larger image into the signature and resize it down, it still resamples it.

    If you compose an email, enter an image, resize it, set it's text-wrap to any of the options, select it and copy it, then paste it into the signature, it no longer looks terrible, but you get the above message twice on inclusion of your email signature.

    If the above is not a clear enough report for engineers to reproduce the issue then quite frankly you need to hire better engineers. I am sure that you folks are more than capable of fixing this though.

    Alternatively, you could:

    i) not resample images placed into email signatures

    ii) provide some guidance as to image formats and resolutions required by Outlook.
