Office for Mac 15.21.1 and Outlook message "some of the files in this web page aren't in the expected location...."

Life prior to 15.21.1 upgrade was OK.

Could start Outlook for Mac, select new email and away I go.

Following the update to 15.21.1, every time I start a new email or reply to a new email I get the message "some of the files in this web page aren't in the expected location. do you want ot download them anyway? if you're sure the web page is from a trusted source, click yes"

I assume it's referring to my signature, which is provided to my by my employer, so I trust it :-)

After that, I keep getting annoying clicks when I type on the keyboard, or boing noises...didn't encounter this, pre 15.21.1

    Hi Leo,

    Assuming the scenario is identical;

    Outlook>Preferences>Signatures

    select the signature in use so it shows up in the right hand pane for editing

    Where there is a URL e.g. email address, right click>Hyperlink>Edit Hyperlink

    In the Edit Hyperlink pane you then see a typo error as the "text to display" field may be different to the "email address" field for example.

    For me this must of existed prior to the MS office upgrade, but the upgrade exposed it.

    Phil,

    I am having the same issue with my clients Mac. He updated Outlook and started having the same issue. Could you please elaborate on the process you described in your previous fix below...

    Having looked at the underlying hyperlink of a URL (when in edit mode), it highlighted a typo.

    Strange how this was highlighted when upgrading to 15.21.1, and not before.

    What's the account type setup in outlook?

    Did you remove the signature or open an email which doesn't have signature in it and check if you get the same prompt?
