Outlook 2016 for mac, email reply greys out screen

I am having an issue on Outlook for Mac ver. 15.26.1 running OS Sierra

When I have Outlook in "full screen" mode and an email opened in a window and hit "reply" the entire screen goes semi-grey and when I click anywhere on screen it gets rid of the grey but it minimizes the email window.  I can click on the minimized window to bring it back up and then it's fine, but it's seriously annoying and slows down my efficiency and productivity.  This only happens when I have the email opened in a window and hit "reply".  It does not happen when I just select the email from the inbox and hit reply from the tool bar.  Anyone else having this issue?

    Hi John,

    I update now to 15.30 (161129) and sierra to the new version 10.12.1

    But nothing changed. I'm very disappointed.

    Hi Norbert,

    We did have one fix released in 15.29, but have not been able to repro what you are still seeing.  What is your exact 15.29 build number (1611xx)?  Are you currently on Insiders or regular production release?  Also, what is your exact version of Sierra?

    Hi Norbert,

    We did have one fix released in 15.29, but have not been able to repro what you are still seeing.  What is your exact 15.29 build number (1611xx)?  Are you currently on Insiders or regular production release?  Also, what is your exact version of Sierra?

    Hi guys,

    I've been following up this thread as I also encountered the issue and it drove me crazy.

    I found an easy workaround while the fix is not released to the public:

    1. When you open a window by the any button that invokes a new window (New Email, Reply, etc), it is going to be greyed out (if you are in full screen operation).
    2. If you switch desktops back and forth (from Outlook to another desktop and back), the window will be focused and you could work easily in that window.

    Hope you find it useful.

    I'm using Release 15.28(161115). I cannot join the fast Insider program for some reason.

    I also published another workaround. I'm using release 15.29. But there is still the same crazy error in a central function. And I call for help again.
