Hello all,
Would appreciate your thoughts on the following situation:
I just installed the Outlook App on my Galaxy S5 phone (Android 6).
When I start it, I get prompted for an email address so I enter my work email (Office 365) and after a few seconds it looks like something comes up and then get dumped back to the "Get Started" screen with the most helpful error message in human history:
"An Error Occurred"
Wow! Where to begin?
I cannot make it past this screen to access any settings or options of any kind.
Guess what - the OWA app for Android works fine, but it doesn't have WEAR capability unlike the Outlook app.
Any suggestions/assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Pete

i got the same problem.Has anyone solved it?
I am in the same boat. The generic email app allows me to access my work account, but any attempt to run my work account through a Microsoft app (Onedrive, Office, Outlook) gets me the error occurred message. I can open my Hotmail account through the app, but not my work. I even did a whole phone reboot, and tried installing the app first thing....still no success.
Before I exchanged in my old phone (S7 Edge), that had my work email functioning through the Outlook app...I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it on my S7 Edge. Got the same error message I am receiving on my new S9+.
Also, I have 2 coworkers who purchased the S9 and S9+ a month prior to me, and have no problems accessing the outlook app and their email.
Frustrated.
Here is the fix. Its an ADFS certificate configuration issue.
Is there any way you could make it such that we don't need help? Kinda like it was before. I think it will take a load off the shoulders of the support team, this idea will increase the overall productivity and performance of the support team.
