Using Outlook for Android in business environments for email and scheduling
Same here. So far nothing helps. Very annoying. Is Microsoft listening?

Hello all,
Would appreciate your thoughts on the following situation:
I just installed the Outlook App on my Galaxy S5 phone (Android 6).
When I start it, I get prompted for an email address so I enter my work email (Office 365) and after a few seconds it looks like something comes up and then get dumped back to the "Get Started" screen with the most helpful error message in human history:
"An Error Occurred"
Wow! Where to begin?
I cannot make it past this screen to access any settings or options of any kind.
Guess what - the OWA app for Android works fine, but it doesn't have WEAR capability unlike the Outlook app.
Any suggestions/assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Pete

Getting the same issue here, S7 Edge running Android 7.0. Working fine until about a week ago, i have not changed my password though, noticed that i was getting email notifications, but no actual emails. Reset the account did not fix it, removed the account and now stuck.
I have tried several things listed in this thread, nothing works. I just get the same generic "an error has occurred" and that's it. Adding a Hotmail account works, using mail.office365.com in a browser works, but i cannot get my work email set up in Outlook.
You are Right, it doesn't work anymore.
The day i posted this answer, it had worked, but a few days later the issue repeated itself and since then i am not able to set it up again.
Btw, i too have a sephora.com email with an android device (OP 3T).
What i can suggest is to use an app called Aqua mail. It may not be as good as outlook but at least it works.
Thank you for giving me a glimmer of hope, yet I tried this and got the following error,
"Unable to login
An error occurred while loading the authentication page. Please check your connection.
CONTACT SUPPORT OK"
I tried 365, which is the correct choice, which produced the results listed above.
I too have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and experience the same loop on the GET STARTED log in screen for Outlook. I've been using the Outlook app on my phone for more than a year without issue, yet each time I change the password I unistall and reinstall... only this time to get stuck with this bug of sadness.
Here's what I've tried thus far:
APP MANANGER > select OUTLOOK > force stop, then select STORAGE to clear cache.
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
APP MANANGER > select OUTLOOK > force stop, then select STORAGE to clear cache > close everything > reboot.
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
Unistall OUTLOOK > reboot > reinstall OUTLOOK > reboot.
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
Factory reset the phone (no kidding - seriously inconvenient to not have OUTLOOK on my phone, so that was a whole weekend wasted).
Open OUTLOOK > select GET STARTED > enter email > auto-redirect to GET STARTED with a brief "an error occurred" bubble that appears below GET STARTED (repeating the GET STARTED only provides the same loop of disappointment).
This is a much larger reaching problem that started at some point after 5/15/2017.
My email ends in @Sephora.com email (I agree with the original person who posted, that adding your email to a public forum is an unreasonable request).
Side note, anyone at Sephora who has an Android phone who has recently unistalled then reinstalled their OUTLOOK app (my last reinstall before this on or within a few day or so of 5/15/2017, which had no login issues) is having this identical issue regardless of the type of Android phone they are using or which Android stack they are running, so I am 100% certain this is a problem with something that changed with the app itself at some point after 5/15/2017.
Please for the love of God, please please please somebody working on the OUTLOOK app, please fix this.
Thank you.
