Outlook email "groups" have suddenly disappeared; contacts still there but no groups.

All of my outlook email "groups" have disappeared. My "contacts" are all still there, but the "groups" I created are missing.

I see a number of others are having similar issues but no one from outlook has provided an answer, they keep asking the same questions: 1. Tell us how you check your email, 2. Have you made in recent changes.

After the recipients respond, they never hear back from the moderators again.

I use my email "groups" nearly ever day. However, when I woke up this morning, I found all my "groups" had disappeared from my account.

I use Windows 8.1; I check mail thru outlook.com via Chrome.  It is the same with Internet explorer.   It is also the same using the outlook app on my Android tablet.

    Just an FYI

You will shortly be switched to Outlook Mail which while it does not support Groups it does support contact list (basically the same thing) it is much more stable.

It is completely unstable - it used to be stable before the new outlook stuffed everything up. The whole problem is that it is unstable. If it was stable I would not be talking to you! Other people I know have lost all contacts as well. And now for one account I get the message below. No problem except that it says the phone number is incorrect -  I have used the phone number to verify previously. As I have no cover here I have had to drive out with my ipad and mob to see if by some accident the landline number has been changed to mobile. Nup. that's wrong too.

What happens now please? Can you tell me? This email is used to organize events which are happening now and so I have no way of contacting any new person who emails about them. Thanks again to MS.

Apparently MS were humbled by the number of people who took up their new email. They damn well should be humbled.

    Thanks again.

First this is a peer to peer site staffed mostly by volunteers who have little or no contact to MS.

MS does not care.  They are migrating all users to the new system for various reason most of which boil down to money

The only way to gain access to your account is via the form (sorry)
