Outlook email "groups" have suddenly disappeared; contacts still there but no groups.

All of my outlook email "groups" have disappeared. My "contacts" are all still there, but the "groups" I created are missing.

I see a number of others are having similar issues but no one from outlook has provided an answer, they keep asking the same questions: 1. Tell us how you check your email, 2. Have you made in recent changes.

After the recipients respond, they never hear back from the moderators again.

I use my email "groups" nearly ever day. However, when I woke up this morning, I found all my "groups" had disappeared from my account.

I use Windows 8.1; I check mail thru outlook.com via Chrome.  It is the same with Internet explorer.   It is also the same using the outlook app on my Android tablet.

Yes they are back, but still missing most of their content.

Its a step in the right direction though.

I have/had several dozen of my groups that contained upwords of 200 people, which I believe is the max amount anyways, but some of those group's are now EMPTY, with no contacts.

I will be patiently waiting & hoping for a resolution. I have no way to re create them on my end.

My groups are back, but still missing 90% of those that where in them. I have hope that they will slowly come back.

Opting in does nothing and preview is not longer being offered.  Outlook mail (previews replacement) is being rolled out starting in North America with other areas to follow.  No one can tell you when yours will be

BTW your slapstick link is from October 2015, so not current

I'm in the US. All my groups are back with the complete list of contacts that I originally had. I have not received the upgrade to Outlook Preview yet, and I signed up for it almost two weeks ago.
