Sync Outlook 365 (email, contacts, calendar and notes) with android phone

I know I am coming in late on this dialogue but I fully empathise with Glen W Rae, AngeloRuggiero and rbuege having gone through similar, and very frustrating experiences. 

Being able to rationalize the quirks/failings by having in-depth knowledge of the technology is not the point here. Taking the consumer perspective then surely it is up to Microsoft to explain properly and simply what they are selling and thereby save us all a bunch of trouble?  As has been pointed out in earlier posts, even when you diligently follow the wording you are left stranded up a blind alley. Microsoft have done a very bad job - even perhaps being economical with the truth of what you you do and do not get with Office 365. It would be better to get them to listen and learn I would suggest. 

And are we to telepathically determine what exactly it is that you have encountered following a given set of unspecified steps using an unnamed set of email account types utilizing an undefined set of devices? The words "diligently follow the wording" refer to what exactly and more importantly in an effort to accomplish what precisely?

As for Outlook.com - it's a free web-based <Email Account> which can also be configured in any version of Outlook. There is no requirement to have any Outlook desktop client installed to use an Outlook.com account.

Perhaps you can also clarify what your expectation is in terms of any information without providing any details. Feel free to review my reply to <JonathanAdamsQK> - the first paragraph of which would be equally applicable.

I have the same problem with Office 365.  I bought it to be used on all my device without an exchange server.  Most small businesses do not have an exchange server.  When you say it never has synced between devices, in an era when we all have different devices don't you think it should?

Microsoft sold me on  Office 365 as a use every where software.  Now I find it is a use no where software.

The days of MicroSoft being a leader in the industry are over.  I suspect with them only making money on Office, and its failings to be a useful product on Android & IOS which singularly have more market share then MicroSoft, the demise of MicroSoft is in the future.

I will not be renewing my subscription to Office 365.  Lets hope WIN 10 is not a Vista/WIN 8 blunder.  Kind of wonder how they stay in business with these kind of mistakes!

wish I had bought an Apple Mac. What good is outlook without being able to sync with my phone, even my iPhone won't sync.

So now I'm this digital age I use a diary and a pen, virtually no cost, never crashes
