Sync Outlook 365 (email, contacts, calendar and notes) with android phone

perhaps you do not really read the threads properly. I like many other complain about outlook not syncing with our phones.

Quite frankly you products are appalling in the way we the consumer are treated.

please feed it back to your company all we need is outlook to sync with our phones.

For the sake of accuracy, Outlook - the desktop client does not sync with any device - Win Phone or any other and never has nor do I expect that it ever will. In fact, not aware of any desktop email client that sync's with 3rd party devices.

Devices sync with "email accounts" and NOT email clients - a VERY big difference. To that end - the following provides some info in that regard

As for sync'ing information - IMAP email accounts are used for syncing only email across devices whereas an Outlook.com configured as Exchange ActiveSync can be sync'd across any device. Similarly, this is also applicable to "Exchange" accounts. Exchange ActiveSync is the email protocol originally designed for sync'ing with mobile devices long before OL'2013. By the same token, if you configure an Outlook.com account as either POP3 or IMAP on a device - you cannot sync calendar/contact items across multiple devices of any kind.

Finally for the record, in regards to your comment "please feed it back to your company" - this is a "peer-to-peer" forum. I do not work for or speak on behalf of Microsoft. The people who respond here are not telepathic so it is impossible to determine whether the "complaints without any supporting details" are the result of (1) a lack of understanding on how things work or (2) there is an actual problem being encountered which brings this back to the question in my previous response

perhaps you do not really read the threads properly. I like many other complain about outlook not syncing with our phones. Whether it is an Android or IPhone. I am told windows phone work (I wonder why) if my email was "exchange" it apparently does. Or if I by a third party to sync via. I am afraid Microsoft are simply abusing their monopoly , when I buy a laptop I get no other option but to be held to ransom. Quite frankly you products are appalling in the way we the consumer are treated.

wish I had bought an Apple Mac. What good is outlook without being able to sync with my phone, even my iPhone won't sync.

So now I'm this digital age I use a diary and a pen, virtually no cost, never crashes

I have the same problem with Office 365.  I bought it to be used on all my device without an exchange server.  Most small businesses do not have an exchange server.  When you say it never has synced between devices, in an era when we all have different devices don't you think it should?

Microsoft sold me on  Office 365 as a use every where software.  Now I find it is a use no where software.

The days of MicroSoft being a leader in the industry are over.  I suspect with them only making money on Office, and its failings to be a useful product on Android & IOS which singularly have more market share then MicroSoft, the demise of MicroSoft is in the future.

I will not be renewing my subscription to Office 365.  Lets hope WIN 10 is not a Vista/WIN 8 blunder.  Kind of wonder how they stay in business with these kind of mistakes!
