Hello,

Outlook.com lets you edit, add, delete and rename groups. This functionality is called "Manage Groups" and can be accessed from the "Manage" drop down menu in the header when on the People page.

Outlook.com also lets you add and remove people from a group.

  1. Visit the People page
  2. Select the contacts that you want to add to a group by clicking on the checkbox next to their name in the contact list
  3. The header shows an item called "Groups"
  4. Select the group you want to add this person to and click apply.

From this menu, you can also create a new group and manage groups.

Is there an easy way to add a sizable group, say 30 people without doing it one at a time?

If you select 30 people by clicking on the checkbox to the left on each contact, you will see the selections in a collection on the right.   When you have selected the contacts you want to add to a Group, you can then select Groups in the top menu bar.   All of the selected contacts will be added to the Group(s) you checked, after you click on Apply.

In this menu option, you can add or remove the selected contacts to/from any Group listed by checking and unchecking boxes.  It is not only an Add option, which is why the button is marked as "Apply" rather than simply "Add" or "Remove".
