Hello,

Outlook.com lets you edit, add, delete and rename groups. This functionality is called "Manage Groups" and can be accessed from the "Manage" drop down menu in the header when on the People page.

Outlook.com also lets you add and remove people from a group.

  1. Visit the People page
  2. Select the contacts that you want to add to a group by clicking on the checkbox next to their name in the contact list
  3. The header shows an item called "Groups"
  4. Select the group you want to add this person to and click apply.

From this menu, you can also create a new group and manage groups.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for jumping in here.  I'm enjoying the changes to outlook.com and this new People, can't wait for the calendar update.

I am having a potential problem though.  When I have managed my groups, by adding and deleting different people, it does not seem to be working.  When I look at the checkmarks, the various updates seem to be reflected correctly, but when I send an email to a group, it includes all the old people I have deleted from groups.  Is there some sort of cookie that needs updating to get the changes reflected properly?

    regards,

    Ben

    Hi BenRemocker,

I apologize for the delayed response. I recognized that the deleted members of the contact group still receive an email when you send a message. We are currently investigating the cause of this error. For the mean time, please try this workaround by using the collapse button when sending emails to your contact groups. Please refer to these steps:

    1. Compose your message.
    2. Enter the group name in the To field.
    3. Click the + button beside the group name then send your email.

If you need further assistance, please let us know by replying to this post.

    Thanks!
