How can I edit groups in Outlook.com? I find only the option to change the name or delete the group

Why not the usefull shortcuts contacts etc in the left colomn

Outlook | Web | Outlook.com | Contacts

Let me help you with your issues in managing your group contacts.

There are some minor changes happened in People page. To manage your contacts in a group, please refer to this thread and look for JMichael_M's post for instructions.

If you wish to view the list of people that is currently added in the group, please follow these steps:

1. Sign into http://people.live.com

  1. Click All v under People v.
  2. Click the name of the group you wish to view.

Hello,

Outlook.com lets you edit, add, delete and rename groups. This functionality is called "Manage Groups" and can be accessed from the "Manage" drop down menu in the header when on the People page.

Outlook.com also lets you add and remove people from a group.

  1. Visit the People page
  2. Select the contacts that you want to add to a group by clicking on the checkbox next to their name in the contact list
  3. The header shows an item called "Groups"
  4. Select the group you want to add this person to and click apply.

From this menu, you can also create a new group and manage groups.

    I share the same concerns as everyone else in this post.  Microsoft needs to get a clue.  I may be moving everything to google and buying my first mac if they dont get rid of these moronic punk programmers who probably never actually had to use the software they build in a business environment.  We dont have the time to sit for hours learning to do something that use to be straight forward.  Windows 8 and removal of start button, windows 7 and removal of adding a password to a zip file without using a third party app and now this colossal screw up on OUTLOOK.com.  This group list is absolutely insane how the functionality that existed in Hotmail has been eliminated.  On my way to gmail and google drive soon.

    Hi Smooth GrooveSK8rs,

    I'm glad that you can now see the names in a group that you created. With regard to your original question, we don't have a way to know the count of people in a group however if you are using Windows Live Mail, you can check the count of people in a group when you go to your contacts.
