How can I edit groups in Outlook.com? I find only the option to change the name or delete the group

Why not the usefull shortcuts contacts etc in the left colomn

There are some minor changes happened in People page. To manage your contacts in a group, please refer to this thread and look for JMichael_M's post for instructions.

1. Sign into http://people.live.com

  1. Click All v under People v.
  2. Click the name of the group you wish to view.

Hello,

Outlook.com lets you edit, add, delete and rename groups. This functionality is called "Manage Groups" and can be accessed from the "Manage" drop down menu in the header when on the People page.

Outlook.com also lets you add and remove people from a group.

  1. Visit the People page
  2. Select the contacts that you want to add to a group by clicking on the checkbox next to their name in the contact list
  3. The header shows an item called "Groups"
  4. Select the group you want to add this person to and click apply.

From this menu, you can also create a new group and manage groups.

    OK, so I'm not sure what was lost along the way or to whom the reply was given, since I am a professional academic and my parents have long been dead.

    Let me try once more, as simply as possible, to find out how to do something that ought to be intuitively simple:  A group exists with email addresses, one email address for each recipient.  One of the group asks to have their home email used instead of the work email that currently is listed in the group.  The contact for that person has both work and home emails listed.  How do you edit the group contact so that you can change that one email address?

    Other than the opaqueness of the group contacts, Outlook.com works very well.

    [As for Gmail; talk about unintuitive and unusable:  Gmail is the worst email service that I have ever used. Outlook.com works so much easier and cleaner, better to look at, and has features like the Documents folder and the Shipping Updates.  Plus it connects directly to SkyDrive.  And, best of all, you don't have to deal with the most obnoxious of the cyber companies, the company that collected private data on all our homes all over the world without telling us, the company that scans your emails to sell information for advertising, that omnipotent ad machine called Google.]
