How can I edit groups in Outlook.com? I find only the option to change the name or delete the group

Why not the usefull shortcuts contacts etc in the left colomn

There are some minor changes happened in People page. To manage your contacts in a group, please refer to this thread and look for JMichael_M's post for instructions.

1. Sign into http://people.live.com

  1. Click All v under People v.
  2. Click the name of the group you wish to view.

Hello,

Outlook.com lets you edit, add, delete and rename groups. This functionality is called "Manage Groups" and can be accessed from the "Manage" drop down menu in the header when on the People page.

Outlook.com also lets you add and remove people from a group.

  1. Visit the People page
  2. Select the contacts that you want to add to a group by clicking on the checkbox next to their name in the contact list
  3. The header shows an item called "Groups"
  4. Select the group you want to add this person to and click apply.

From this menu, you can also create a new group and manage groups.

    Apparently no one at MS can actually read and discern, which is quite frustrating, to say the least.

    One more and final try, which is absolutely as simple as I can say this:

    1. I want to edit the information for someone in an already existing group and keep the edited change in the same saved group.
    2. A member of a group has asked that for that group I use her home email not her work email, which is the one currently listed in the group.
    3. Both emails are listed in Contacts for this person.
    4. How, therefore, do I leave the group and its members just as it is, and change one person's email from her work email to her home email, and permanently keep that change in the group?

    This should be easy to do and transparently so.  Open up Yahoo! mail, for example, and see how easily their group email works and how easily changes can be made.  Something is wrong at MS, and it continues in this forum.

    Hi Dr JWR,

    We appreciate the positive feedback. We are glad to hear that you like Outlook.com.

    As for changing changing/removing one contact from a group that you have added as a recipient of an email address, you can simply add the group as a recipient of the email then click on the + icon on the left of the group name so all the individual contacts will show. Then you can just remove the contact email address that you do not want to send the email to and then manually add the one that you want to include as a recipient of the email.
