Unable to delete contacts.

I called Microsoft's 800 number for technical support and they say that the only support is Microsoft Community.

The Microsoft representative says that this is the only forum or place to get help.  Are there any Microsoft employees who can help me with my Hotmail/Outlook.com issue?

I am not able to delete contacts from my Hotmail/Outlook.com account.   (And, yes, I have cleared my cache, I've got the latest browser versions, the  issue is the same on multiple computers with various browsers.)

Can ANYONE help me???????

(Original title: hotmail/outlook.com won't let me delete contacts, what do I do?)

    Hi,

We need to determine the cause of this issue, please provide us the following information:

    • Did you receive any error message when you delete the contact?
    • May you please enumerate the specific steps that you took on how you delete your contacts?
    • Does the issue occur to a specific contact?
    • Are you trying to delete a contact from a connected service like Facebook or Gmail?

    Thanks!

    • no error message
    • steps I took:   clicked the check box on an contact, and then selected delete
    • not a specific contact.....  all contacts, any contacts act the same
    • I am not trying to delete a contact from a connected service. Only contacts in hotmail/outlook.com and the People function

    Thanks

I am having problems with connecting Outlook to Facebook.  It seems that if a person has been added from a Facebook account, you cannot remove that person's email address from a Group.  I've tried several ways and it tells me that I can't completely delete them.  I will copy and paste the message it gives me each time:

    "Can't delete completely

Some of this contact's info comes from another service. You'll need to delete the contact there to keep it from showing up here."

This person wants their email address removed from the group, but I can't.  What do I need to do?  Has this not been added to the Outlook?  It was fine in Hotmail.

    Sincerely,

    Stumped

The issue is NOT with Outlook.

The problem is CONTACTS/PEOPLE.  It isn't operating correctly.  Mail and calendar are FINE.

CONTACTS/PEOPLE is a hosed up mess.  It is an abomination.  And not one seems to know why.  This is a ridiculous waste of time.

Microsoft should be terribly embarrassed. But, from the reaction on "Community" (or should I say "the lack of reaction"), they just don't care.

There are SO MANY people with problems, I don't know how they can ignore the issues with "CONTACTS/PEOPLE".

Oh, one last thing, I DID attempt to call Microsoft support..... I actually SPOKE with them...... they told me that "COMMUNITY" is the ONLY support.  Sigh.

Same problem for me.  Is there anyone to contact to find out how to delete what was

an old e-mail contact when I had hotmail and not outlook.  Thinking about deleting m'soft and

    going in another direction.
