Organizing and accessing contact information in Outlook.com
yes.... I have tried and tried and tried.
apparently it is a known problem..... with no known solution.....
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I called Microsoft's 800 number for technical support and they say that the only support is Microsoft Community.
The Microsoft representative says that this is the only forum or place to get help. Are there any Microsoft employees who can help me with my Hotmail/Outlook.com issue?
I am not able to delete contacts from my Hotmail/Outlook.com account. (And, yes, I have cleared my cache, I've got the latest browser versions, the issue is the same on multiple computers with various browsers.)
Can ANYONE help me???????
(Original title: hotmail/outlook.com won't let me delete contacts, what do I do?)

Hi siliconmatrix,
We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Since you have already tried deleting your contacts via web, did you ever get to try performing the said activity via a mail client?
Does the issue happen to any contacts that you want to delete?
Have you made any changes on your account prior to the issue?
Thanks!
I attempted to delete contacts using Outlook with the Hotmail connector. Contacts would be deleted in Outlook, but not reflect as deleted in Hotmail. I could modify contacts in either Outlook, or in Hotmail, and the changes would 'sync' between both.
Yes the issue happens with any contacts.
I have not made any changes to the the account.
Hi,
If the changes doesn't apply to your mail client after deleting contacts via web mail, I suggest that you contact Outlook office support about this issue. We may also need your email account so we can investigate the issue on our end.
Please post the affected email address in the private message area for investigation.
Note: You need to log in your Microsoft account to view the private message link.
Thanks!
The issue is NOT with Outlook.
The problem is CONTACTS/PEOPLE. It isn't operating correctly. Mail and calendar are FINE.
CONTACTS/PEOPLE is a hosed up mess. It is an abomination. And not one seems to know why. This is a ridiculous waste of time.
Microsoft should be terribly embarrassed. But, from the reaction on "Community" (or should I say "the lack of reaction"), they just don't care.
There are SO MANY people with problems, I don't know how they can ignore the issues with "CONTACTS/PEOPLE".
Oh, one last thing, I DID attempt to call Microsoft support..... I actually SPOKE with them...... they told me that "COMMUNITY" is the ONLY support. Sigh.
