Unable to delete contacts.

I called Microsoft's 800 number for technical support and they say that the only support is Microsoft Community.

The Microsoft representative says that this is the only forum or place to get help.  Are there any Microsoft employees who can help me with my Hotmail/Outlook.com issue?

I am not able to delete contacts from my Hotmail/Outlook.com account.   (And, yes, I have cleared my cache, I've got the latest browser versions, the  issue is the same on multiple computers with various browsers.)

Can ANYONE help me???????

(Original title: hotmail/outlook.com won't let me delete contacts, what do I do?)

Yeah but I don't have them on Facebook either. They only show up on my hotmail/Outlook account and I want to delete them because there are so many irrelevant contacts dating back from over 7 years ago of whom I do not talk to. I only wish to delete them as I get notified of their birthdays every year and they show up on my calendar.

Edit: It says on Outlook that the service I am connected by is Facebook but we are not friends on Facebook. And Outlook is having issues with trying to reconnect to Facebook.

Like most folks I have spoken to or emailed at Microsoft, you failed to answer his question.  The simple question is how to delete contacts.  Contacts come in two shades - the ones which are imported from elsewhere, and the ones created by the Outlook user.  The question still is, how do you delete those?

Second question - how does one locate a long lost second email account with Microsoft required that I create when they took over Hotmail.  I have no clue what the name or password for this second email account is and there is no easy way to find out.  I would like to simply change this second account.  The security around Hotmail email accounts is unbelievable.  You have taken something simple and destroyed it.   So how do I start over with this - or is it easier just to abandon the Hotmail account I have had for longer than a decade and to which every one of my friends/contacts/relatives/companies responds?

Please respond to ****@Hotmail.com - for as long as Microsoft allows me to have it

When I try to use this link the message is that the page is not available.  Do you suppose Microsoft could augment Outlook to perform this simple task in a quick and easy manner as every other email providers do and in a simple and easy manner??   If not, why did Microsoft bother to take over Hotmail - just for the money???

If the user wants to keep the contact in the social service but does not want the contact visible in Outlook.com any longer how do we accomplish that? That is how do you break the connection to Outlook.com and have it stop pointing to the other social service's contact information?
