Unable to delete contacts.

I called Microsoft's 800 number for technical support and they say that the only support is Microsoft Community.

The Microsoft representative says that this is the only forum or place to get help. Are there any Microsoft employees who can help me with my Hotmail/Outlook.com issue?

I am not able to delete contacts from my Hotmail/Outlook.com account. (And, yes, I have cleared my cache, I've got the latest browser versions, the issue is the same on multiple computers with various browsers.)

Can ANYONE help me???????

After struggling with this issue for so long and giving up at one point I may have stumbled onto something that may fix this issue for some individuals. It worked for me, but it ain't pretty! Just thought I would add my 2 cents to this thread anyway.

My original issue was... "I can't delete my people from outlook.com".

My fix was.....

I went to my contacts, sorry people, (stupid name change) and wrote them all down on a piece of paper. Then I deleted ALL of them. The I deleted all the links to outlook's-people, like facebook, gmail etc. ALL of them! Except skype and messenger remained and I could not delete them so I left them there. Then I went to my contacts in facebook, gmail, skype, messenger etc. and deleted ALL my contacts there as well. ALL OF THEM !!! I deleted every contact from EVERY location I had ever been!!! I was then totally UN-connected and dropped off the grid so to speak. I had to actually PHONE people and talk to them. How old school!! Then...and this was the hardest part.... I waited 45 days just to be sure they were not coming back. ALL my email went to my junk folder and I read and replied to them from there. I never went to my inbox the whole time because it was ALWAYS empty. (because I am set to exclusive).

What a pain. 45 days later.... I began manually adding my contacts back into people. I started with one contact (ME) and waited another 2 weeks to see if it would be okay and it was. Then manually added all the others from the paper list I created 2 months ago. Now about 3 months since I started it seems okay. I never added the links to other accounts back in, I just left the default skype and messenger. HELLO MICROSOFT....you've gotta be kidding me right??? Get your **** together!

What is the refresh time for the changes to reflect in Otlook (https://people.live.com/) for contacts that are integrated/imported from other services (such as Google)? (after Checked after 24 Hours)

I have removed a lot of contacts in Google but they still appear in https://people.live.com/, and the irritating part is that you cannot delete it from Outlook contacts (https://people.live.com/).

I understand your frustration and will be glad to help you.

Generally, when you delete contacts from Google, they get deleted from People after the next sync.

In order to ensure that there are no conflicts with Outlook services, I suggest you to go to http://status.live.com and check the service status.

Please reply with the results so that we can help you further.

This is solved. I forced synced my contacts using Windows phone.

What is the interval of the sync process on https://people.live.com?
