Unable to delete contacts.

I called Microsoft's 800 number for technical support and they say that the only support is Microsoft Community.

The Microsoft representative says that this is the only forum or place to get help.  Are there any Microsoft employees who can help me with my Hotmail/Outlook.com issue?

I am not able to delete contacts from my Hotmail/Outlook.com account.   (And, yes, I have cleared my cache, I've got the latest browser versions, the  issue is the same on multiple computers with various browsers.)

Can ANYONE help me???????

(Original title: hotmail/outlook.com won't let me delete contacts, what do I do?)

    Hi PuzzleLocked12345,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. We apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you. Let us help you to unlink your Skype and delete the connected contacts in your account.

We would need you to provide us the following information below for us to investigate your account:

    • Your affected email address
    • Sample contact name/address that appears to be a Skype contact
    • Screenshot of your Profile page
    • Screenshot of your "Manage your accounts"

To get a screenshot of your "Manage your accounts", follow the steps given below:

    1. Go to https://account.live.com.
    2. Click Permission.
    3. Click Manage other accounts.

I created a private message area where you could post and upload all the needed information.

Note: To view the secure private section, you'll need to be signed in and click on the notification (which can be found at the top of the thread) that states "You have a private reply to this message. Click here to read it on our secure private message section.” or by clicking the "Private Messages" tab.

We look forward to your response.

    Thank you.

I HAVE FIXED IT ALREADY......so I will not be giving any more information to this dog and pony show masquerading as support.. I only posted how I fixed the problem (without any help) so that others reading this thread might try the same thing.

I am having the same problem.  unfortunately, I deactivated my facebook account permanently. even if I resubscribe  it won't bring up any past contacts or feeds in facebook. I have tried several things listed in google and have not had any results.  I was unaware when I followed someone on facebook their name would go into my outlook address book.  this really sucks and should never had happened without a pop up telling users this will happen and what to do to prevent it.  so guess I am stuck with unwanted people in my address book.  perhaps we should have 2 email accounts and send all the **** to one and keep the other for friends and important sites.
