Unable to delete contacts.

Still not working

The strange part is that the facebook contacts appear in my Windows Live People Hub, but not in my Windows Phone People Hub. The phone is clearly filtering Outlook contacts only, but for some reason the Windows Live People Hub doesn't.

I just want them gone!

How to view People window in Hotmail :

1. Open Hotmail
2. Click Contacts
3. Your contacts are on the left side.

**How to delete a contact from a group but keep it in the main contact list:**1. Go to People

2. Click the contact you want to remove from a group then toolbar,
3. Click Groups
4. Un-check the box in front of the group in question
5. Click Apply when done.

How to Edit contacts within a group :

1. On the People window, top left, click the “ All v “ > you group is on the drop down list >
2. Click the group name > now you have all the contacts within that group listed
3. Click one to view > to edit, click at the contact’s name ( not its check box ) > click Edit at the toolbar to do editing.

Note :

1. Edit option will not appear until you have selected a contact. 
2. Edit option will not appear if you click at the contact's check box instead of the contact's name

To remove connection with facebook :

1. Go to People window > top right, click your name > click Edit Profile
2. Below your picture, click Manage
3. If you see your Facebook connected, click on Edit
4. Click the link Remove this connection completely

Nope, no go.

There is no connection there to remove.

Ok, I believe I'm having the same problem. Here's what is going on:

 

• My Hotmail used to be connected to my facebook
• I removed the facebook connection, however the contacts were not removed from the PEOPLE hub of WINDOWS LIVE HOTMAIL. Nothing to do with Microsoft Office Outlook.
• When I go to the PEOPLE HUB of WINDOWS LIVE HOTMAIL and click the little gear, there's an option to filter my contacts. I have Outlook, Skype, and Messenger.
• Regardless of what I select, my facebook contacts are STILL there, even though the account is NOT connected.
• There is NO OPTION to delete them. and NO CONENCTION
• I want them gone.

 

For what it's worth, the account is currently synced with a Windows 8 Desktop, a Windows 7 Laptop, a Lumia 920, and a Surface RT.

I'm not sure if you've tried this already.  You sound a little more computer savvy than I am.  This is a quote I received and it worked for what I needed.  You may have already tried this, but here is how they told me to do it:

 To remove connection with facebook :

1. Go to People window > top right, click your name > click Edit Profile

3. If you see your Facebook connected, click on Edit
4. Click the link Remove this connection completely
