I called Microsoft's 800 number for technical support and they say that the only support is Microsoft Community.

The Microsoft representative says that this is the only forum or place to get help.  Are there any Microsoft employees who can help me with my Hotmail/Outlook.com issue?

I am not able to delete contacts from my Hotmail/Outlook.com account.   (And, yes, I have cleared my cache, I've got the latest browser versions, the  issue is the same on multiple computers with various browsers.)

Can ANYONE help me???????

(Original title: hotmail/outlook.com won't let me delete contacts, what do I do?)

If you cannot delete the contact in People, try this:

Go to your Outlook Email (Outlook Live) and find an email with that particular contact name/address in it.  Open the email and click on the name/email address (could be the sender or other recipients) - you should see a pane at the right hand side.  Click on the 3 dots symbol - you will see option to Edit contact or Delete.  (Alternatively just hover the mouse over the sender's coloured circle or other recipient address - you wiil see a small window with the 3 dots.)

Angry that Microsoft came along and destroyed a simple and effective platform like Hotmail?  Yes!   They saw it as just another advertising stream and who cares if dependable function is abrogated in the name of more revenue.   Hotmail has been subsumed into Outlook and now neither one works very well.

Man! I had that app until just now. I too was continuously being locked out of accounts and had many syncing issues as well. It bugged me as I have 6 e-mails that I use frequently for various things.

Deleting this .apk is a good idea.

You obviously seem angry. It's not the end of the world this one problem that people have been having. In my case, I was able to rectify the problem myself.

I 100% agree with you that more needs to be done with the maintenance of Microsoft's many services. After all, as someone studying project analysis work, maintenance is when a project begins on the customer-end. Not just develop, test and publish to later forget about it.

Because unlike other companies they are purely about profit and not willing to repair or replace anything that conflict with their for profit motto. No wonder there are so few using Hotmail or Windows Live e-mail services. You have to care about your customers or product if you want to keep them using your service over others.Denial is their only answer to customers.Micro means small & that is where Microsoft chooses to be.
