Calendar subscription does not refresh

In outlook.com I subscribed to my TripIt calendar feed. In outlook.com I went to Import > Subscribe, and entered the ical feed URL that I got from TripIt. The URL looks like this (redacted for privacy reasons): https://www.tripit.com/feed/ical/private/<<long id here>>/tripit.ics. The initial import worked perfectly and all the events from TripIt show as expected in my outlook.com calendar.

However, outlook.com has not tried to refresh the feed for two days now, and, consequently, changes are not shown in outlook.com. Now, other software in which I imported the exact same feed, e.g. the OS X calendar app and my Google calendar, do see the updates just fine. Only outlook.com does not refresh the feed, at least not in over 48 hours now.

    Like others in this thread, I bought a new device (laptop) that uses Windows 8. I was really looking forward to using Outlook's calendar as my single calendar.

    Like others, I am forced to subscribe to someone else's calendar. It isn't my choice. I either have to subscribe or manually enter events in my Outlook calendar. The calendar is Yahoo.

    I just looked in my Outlook calendar and the Yahoo subscription hasn't updated since 2010!

    So, yes, I'm going to delete all the subscriptions and add them again.

    I also bought a Windows 8 phone, which I haven't set up yet, but now I know it might not work anyway.

    Please, please, please Microsoft support, encourage your management to prioritize this. Calendar subscription is a basic requirement for a phone, tablet, or laptop!

    Hi Craig Ruane,

    Thanks for the information. As I understand, events you have added on your MS Office Outlook is not syncing to your Outlook.com Calendar.

    As initial troubleshooting, please try removing and re-adding your Outlook.com in MS Office Outlook. You may refer to this article for steps on how to do this: Add Outlook.com to Outlook

    Also, make sure that you have the latest version of Outlook Hotmail Connector.

    Let us know how things turn out.

     no fix in over a year?  seriously Microsoft?  like the original problem, my tripit calendar is not updating...why doesn't a manual send\receive contact the calendar feed?

    This is pathetic

    I'm in this boat. It's pretty ridiculous that a subscribed calendar doesn't pull more often than every day or so. Makes it pretty much useless.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community. I'd be glad to assist you on your concern with regards to syncing your Outlook.com calendar to Google calendar.

    Syncing your calendar with another calendar usually takes place within 24 to 48 hours and it can't be changed. If it does not sync within that time range, it is already an issue.

    On you other concern about  Outlook.com and Outlook sync, are the steps you included related to syncing your Outlook.com to Office Outlook email client.

    Why so long? For me it is 48 - 72 hours.

    Google refreshes every 16 hours or so.

    Why don't you change this refresh rate to every 4-8 hours?

    You would have happier users and some might jump ship from Google for Outlook.com.

    This refresh rate makes people jump ship to Google. (Google SYNCS every 16 HOURS!!!)

    I'm using a Microsoft @live account subscribing to a calendar from OFFICE365

    It is 3/31 10:54am EST the calendar hasn't updated for TWO DAYS (as per @live calendar settings...
