In outlook.com I subscribed to my TripIt calendar feed. In outlook.com I went to Import > Subscribe, and entered the ical feed URL that I got from TripIt. The URL looks like this (redacted for privacy reasons): https://www.tripit.com/feed/ical/private/<<long id here>>/tripit.ics. The initial import worked perfectly and all the events from TripIt show as expected in my outlook.com calendar.
However, outlook.com has not tried to refresh the feed for two days now, and, consequently, changes are not shown in outlook.com. Now, other software in which I imported the exact same feed, e.g. the OS X calendar app and my Google calendar, do see the updates just fine. Only outlook.com does not refresh the feed, at least not in over 48 hours now.

Just became aware of this problem after receiving my new laptop today. Love windows 8, but problems like this are seriously laughable.
Hire 2 people to sit in a room for a day and fix this. Problem solved, customers happy
What kind of tablet? How much?
As a result of the stunning response from Microsoft I now have an Android device.
It works. Quickly. Simply. Reliably. Both ways.
I am now trying to get rid of my Microsoft Tablet, which is no use for anything except playing games, and trawling the net. All things my Android does, more quickly, more simply, more reliably. Strangely, no one I know wants to buy the Windows tablet.
I won't be recommending Windows devices to anyone, if they have an alternative. Well done Microsoft.
Microsoft has a new CEO per news reports today. As if that's really going to make a difference.
If MS doesn't wake up from their fever dreams soon they're going to find Redmond looking a lot like Detroit.
Any fix yet Microsoft? It's been a while, and this problem is quite bothersome.
