How to change subscribed calendar refresh interval

After patiently waiting and submitting numerous request through various channels to have this issue addressed I've come to the conclusion that it will never be fixed. Therefore I have quit using the Outlook.com calendar and gone back to using Google Calendar which does refresh it's subscribed calendars. Even though I am a Windows and Windows Phone user this experiment with Outlook.com has been a failure. So long Outlook calendar.

On a side note I find it interesting that several other long lived threads about this problem have been locked.

I feel your pain.  I gave up too.  I now sync via Outlook.  Diane Poremsky has a nice vba app that copies new calendar items to a second calendar that works for a lot of people.  There are other vba apps out there that will sync your calendars in Outlook.  Amazing, though, that MS hasn't any solution.

Why have these forums if nothing ever gets addressed?  I've been trying to get my Yahoo calendar subscribed and updated through Outlook.com, simply to get my Yahoo calendar on my Windows phone, because I like Yahoo, hate Google, and the Outlook Connector continually has synching issues.  If Microsoft would simply add support for the CardDAV protocol, then we could add our Yahoo calendars to our Windows phone.  The subscription method was a possible workaround, but 24-48 hrs is unacceptable to wait for calendar events to sync.  Please listen to what I'm bringing to your attention here...  many of us would rather use the Microsoft solution.  However, if you don't provide simple necessities such as support for Yahoo calendar in Windows phones, or build a connector that can actually handle calendar synching, we're going to go with what ever company that has a solution, that will provide us with seemless integration between all of our communication channels, in one homogeneous umbrella.  Outlook connector continually has issues to the extent that I've re-created some of my monthly bill reminders four times, because they kept dissappearing, and for no reason at all, all four of them would reappear randomly, at different times.  Please spare me the 'have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest version of Outlook Connector?' rhetoric, I'm an IT specialist, in the industry for over 15 years, making a living on supporting Microsoft back-end and front-end products.  Believe me when I tell you that if anyone can get it working, I can.  This state we're in, with each solution being 'almost' complete, is just rediculous in this day and age.  I wish I could sit down with one of the Microsoft teams responsible for all of this end-use tools integration, and show them what we really want and need, and how they can make their products more robust and really make us appreciate their efforts.

CardDAV/CalDAV support was added to WP8 with the GDR2/Amber update.  I haven't verified it personally, as I'm still syncing manually through Outlook.  But there is now a selection in "add an account" for adding a Yahoo account.  Maybe that will work for you.

Thank you for that information, JimFekete.  Unfortunately, I have an HTC Trophy cell phone with Windows Phone 7.5 (MANGO) install on it.  So, I wouldn't be able to utilize the CardDAV support in WP8.  I love my Trophy, mainly because there is an awesome extended-life battery and back cover available that I bought for it, couldn't find such a battery for the latest Nokia or HTC WP8 models, and I only use my phone for phone calls and email.  So, I don't need all the buzzers, bells, and wistles that come with the newer WP8's.  I'll just have to keep manually entering in my calendar dates that I want on my phone calendar, directly on the Outlook phone calendar.  It just would have been nice to just switch right on over to the Yahoo calendar, while I'm already conveniently in there reading my email, and type/update the calendar dates right in there with a full PC keyboard.  Oh, well..  maybe one day Yahoo will come out with their own cell phone and OS.
