How do I add a contact to an existing Group in this new Outlook??

I've tried and tried. The only thing I can do with a group is add, delete, or change its name. I want to add more contacts. Was very easy the old hotmail way.

Hi Radio Flyer,

Update May, 2013: We've released some changes this month on how you navigate around the People page. These changes were made to make it more consistent with how your contacts are presented. The Groups' dropdown menu have been removed and Groups have been integrated to your contacts list. Please see screenshot below which I hope clears some of the changes up for you.

NOTE: You can also search for your group by typing the group name in the search box just like searching for a contact.

The next screenshots shows how you can add a group member

After clicking save the screen refreshes and you should see the new member on the right pane.

Hi Jean H.,

I will be glad to assist you with your concern. If you don't want to have your facebook contacts on your Outlook.com account, you can follow the steps below on how to disable the option.

Log in on your account.
Hover your mouse to the Gear Icon on the top right corner beside your name.
Select Mail more settings.
Under Reading email, select Content from third-party networks.
Under Showing public content, select Don't show public content from third-party networks.
Save

Francesca, To add a contact:-

go to people, enter group name, select group but leave the check box blank, click Edit

type contact's name in box select from list that appears and save. Hope this helps

Hi Dave,

I appreciate your determination to come up with a work around and sharing it with us.

But to rename all contacts ( i have over 1000) with a nickname referencing which group they are in,

And then renaming all groups (i have over 50) with a number to link to the nicknames...

This is so painful that i could cry.

During the month of April i actually recreated all my contacts and groups to try to solve the problem of deleted contacts still receiving emails, a huge problem that has been on forums since September 2012 and was never solved.

So for May to come and for Outlook to do this to me again, seems almost a cruel joke.

I am wasting hundreds of billable sanity time on trying to 'workaround' the constant problems and changes of Outlook, it is making my life so much harder. Is this what they were aiming for??!!
