Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

Thanks.

    Hi TheOne-RajaBabu,

    Sorry for the delayed response. Our Support Specialist wants to confirm if the missing contacts are from Microsoft account or from the 3rd party social networking site.

    @RobertEnnis,

    Please complete the information requested below to facilitate with our investigation on this issue:

    Are the missing contact from an email account or from another service/ app?

    If the missing contact is not from a connected service, please resync your account by removing and re-adding it on your phone.

    If missing contact/s is/are from connected service, then provide the following information:

    • Microsoft account (it will be automatically masked from public view)

    • Mobile device make and model

    • Mobile OS and version

    • Name of connected service or app

    @abstevens,

    I have now escalated your case to our Support Specialist for investigation. We'll inform you as soon as we get a response.

    Note: Only email address are automatically masked from public view. PUID are not masked, hence a private message is needed. But, let us set aside first the PUID and grant access until our Support Specialists request for it.

    Thank you!

    The missing contacts were from my Microsoft account on Outlook.com

    Are you guys also looking into the problems about 2-way contact syncing? When I make changes on my phone to a contact, the changes are not reflected on Outlook.com. The same happens if I make changes to a contact on Outlook.com, I don't see the changes reflected on my phone. Syncing is not working at all for contacts!

    • Microsoft account (it will be automatically masked from public view) ******@ennx.com

    • Mobile device make and model Samsung Galaxy Note ll

    • Mobile OS and version Android 4.1.2

    • Name of connected service or app Google

    I added some contacts manually that did not come from Gmail. Outlook finally synced using the Android app and deleted all the Gmail contacts leaving only the five or six I added on the Outlook web interface. I then imported a contacts file from Gmail and restored the web interface of Outlook.com. My phone is totally messed up with contacts from all over the place.

    Missing contacts "people" are from my hotmail/Outlook.com (live.com) account.

    Thanks.
