Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

    this is definitely an android problem not a Microsoft one...my contacts syn between my outlook and my exchange server just fine...its my android phone that isn't communicating back with the updates.

    Today I suddendly encounter the same problem. On my Note3 I see the list of contact but without phone number while in outlook.com they all appear correctly.

    I removed and re-added the account in Adroid and problem remains.

    Please advise

    I'm not able to sync my outlook.com mail to my Android 4.4.2.

    Hi,

    After getting off an aeroplane last week and turning off flight mode my outlook exchange server contacts have disappeared and won't sync.

    Please help

    I have a similar issue.  Using Office 365 and Exchange, my android phone has no problem syncing email, calendar, and tasks.  But the last time it synced my contacts is 11/30/2014.  The error says "Sync is currently experiencing problems.  It will be back shortly."

    Note that I have a separate Exchange account for a different business, on the same phone, and that all syncs just fine.
