Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thank you for getting back to us. Our support specialist would like to confirm if the contacts that are not synching are from your Outlook.com account or are they from a connected service such as Facebook, Google Contacts, LinkedIn and etc.

    In addition, we will also be asking for the permission to access your account. I will be providing the details on the private message area that I have created. Please make sure that you're signed in to this forum to view the link.

    Note: You need to click the notification that states “You have a private reply to this message. Click here to read it on our secure private message section” or by clicking the “Private Messages” tab.

    Regards,

    Johayber T.

    Hi Ult1me PL,

    For Exchange Active Sync configuration, please go to this link for instructions.

    Should I reconfigure my account using Outlook.com app for Android or can I just readd acc. using default mail settings applet?

    Hi Ult1me PL and José de Vilhena Gonçalves,

    @Ult1me PL,

    Thanks for posting back. What I provided is the instructions for Exchange Active Sync which in Android, it's the Outlook.com application. You can use the settings that you've used before (to when you have encountered the issue) and check if everything is working fine now.

    If you have clarifications related to this topic, please post back. We'll be more than happy to help you.

    @José de Vilhena Gonçalves,

    Thanks for granting us the permission to access your account. With that, I have forwarded the issue to our Support Specialists for further review and investigation. We appreciate your patience and cooperation. We will get back to you once we hear back from them.

    If you have other things in mind that might help while we’re doing the investigation, please don’t hesitate to post it here.

    Thank you.

    Allan_I and Levi_I,

    I'm reconfiguring all of my programs as you said.

    Now my account perhaps works well on Android device, but on Outlook 2013 another contacts than I've ever mailed has disappeared... What's the problem? What should I do now?
