Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

Thanks.

    Hi DaveLehner,

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I would like to confirm if you already tried clearing your mobile cache or resetting your mobile to factory settings before **reconfiguring your account**? Most problem are caused by bad caches of mobile or some settings that are not compatible with the new look of Outlook. The best way to fix this kind of issue is to clear your mobile cache or reset your phone to factory settings and then reconfigure your account.

If the issue persists, I need you to provide us your impacted email account. These files contain personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address. Microsoft uses them to diagnose your issue. We do not use this information to contact you (outside of this issue) or market to you.

Kindly sign in to this forum and post your impacted email account inside the private message I provided you.

If you have other clarification, please don't hesitate to post. I'll try my best to help you with it.

    Thank you

First I must say that I am not an advanced user, My laptop was setup for work, and again, the emails, calendar, and tasks are syncing with my android phone perfectly. In any event, these are the most crucial for me at this time, and cannot risk losing this information. 12 contacts were added to my phone initially, now that I've added more on my laptop thru lync,  they are not getting to my phone, unlike the emails, the phone gets an error message when I go to the settings, and turn off and on the sync button for contacts under Exchange ActiveSync for my work account, ******@truston.us.

I have cleared the caches on my mobile phone using a program called clean master, to no avail.

As far a reconfiguring my account on the link provided, all the information appears correct, so I don't know what to do, and cannot delete the account and start over (see above).

Thanks for any further assistance you can provide.
