Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

    I am having the same problem where my contacts aren't syncing from my Live account to my Android phone (email and calendar work fine).  I am using Android 4.1.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and I add my account using Exchange ActiveSync using:

    • ******@live.com as my username
    • Server: m.hotmail.com
    • Port: 443
    • Accept all SSL certificates
    • Use secure connection (SSL)

    On my Microsoft account, I have the following third party accounts linked to my Microsoft account:

    • Skype

    My alternative e-mail address is ******@gmail.com and I tried to post my PUID here a couple times but it always shows the actual number in the posting (even when I log-out and view this posting the PUID is not hidden but the email address is hidden) so please send me a private email and I will send the PUID to a microsoft.com email address.

    Examples of contacts that aren't syncing include:

    Anne Aarness

    Andrew Flint

    Bill Bosen

    & 800+ more

    I grant you my permission to access my Microsoft account.

    I have a hosted domain using Outlook.com. It will not sync contacts to my Android phone. Gmail syncs perfectly.

    Thank you for all the information that you have provided. Before we forward this issue to our product specialists, can you please confirm if the contact you mentioned is your contact from any of your third party accounts?

    The contact I mentioned is a Outlook contact. It has been linked to third party accounts also.
