Exchange ActiveSync won't sync contacts on Android

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Exchange ActiveSync on my Android phone. Calendar and E-mails sync fine without any problems. However, my contacts won't sync properly. My contacts sync the first time I set up my account on my phone using Exchange ActiveSync but afterwards if I make any changes or add new contacts on my phone then it won't sync to Outlook.com. The same situation arises if I modify or create a new contact on the web at Outlook.com; I don't see these changes being synced to my phone. 2-way syncing is not working for my contacts.

I have removed and re-added my Outlook account on my phone multiple times but the problem persists. I am using a Nexus 4, running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Can you please fix this?? It is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I don't want to use the Hotmail or Outlook apps since they are very limited in functionality and a big battery drain on the phone.

Thanks.

    solution:

this is what solved it for me:

    1. Don't use the app "scanBizCards" or third party apps that add contacts.  if you did, remove the exchange account and set it up again.
    2. Stop Skype from syncing contacts.

So far 2 way contact sync works again

Microsoft if you want to write me a check i'll give you my contact...

I also have been having the same problem as people above. My smartphone doesn't want to sync my contacts using EAS @outlook.com. Other things works fine.

    Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i

I've got synced Facebook contacts and probably the Skype's ones. All my contacts won't synchronize anymore.

I used to have standard EAS account in own domain on this smartphone and everything works fine then.

I grant you my permission to access my Microsoft account.

    Hi TheOne-RajaBabu,

Sorry for the inconvenience that you're encountering with your account. I request that you try to sync a different account on your phone and note if the same problem happens. If so, then post here your impacted email address for investigation. You can safely post it here as it will be automatically masked from public view.

    Thank you!
