FACEBOOK CHAT NOT WORKING

hi,

i am unable to use facebook chat on live messenger neither on PC nor WP7. 

In PC, i am getting all facebook updates but facebook chat isn't working. facebook chat is always OFF even when I click on "ON" (in new version ie. outlook.com)

On WP7, non of my friends appear online.

I am facing this problem from last 2 months. I have done all things, remove and add FB account many times but nothing happened. please help

    even i'm facing the same problem since more than 2 months..

    i've lumia 800 with windows 7.8

    did the same exercise of removal of fb account from hotmail and reconnecting, all in vain..  plz if u get any soution do update me too..

    facebook chat (microsoft account) has even stopped working with skype.

    Hello W H and ArchitGrover,

    I apologize for the delayed response on your inquiry. I understand that you cannot seem to get Facebook chat on your Outlook.com account using web browser and Windows Phone to work.

    If I may ask, have you tried optimizing your browser to remove all the temporary files and cached information on your browser? If not yet, kindly visit the link below as there are some instances when browser issues are causing Outlook.com not to run properly.

    Also, have you tried using Outlook.com web messenger without Facebook connection? We just want to exclude the possibility that the connected service is having an issue and not the Outlook.com web messenger itself.

    Sanket, is the issue solved for you? I have same problem since 4 months. Nothing is helping. Worst part is that the breaking of Facebook chat in Outlook also makes the chat stop working on Windows Phone and Windows 8.

    No, its not resolved. Its the problem of Facebook and not Microsoft in general. Just try to use any other 3rd party chat tool for FB Chat (IM+ / Trillian) or whatever is your preference. You'll face the same trouble.

    Just for your update, I've sent at least 20 mails to FaceBook over the same issue but haven't got any reply. I guess we should team up there on Facebook to get issue resolved. Let me know about your thoughts.
