FACEBOOK CHAT NOT WORKING

hi,

i am unable to use facebook chat on live messenger neither on PC nor WP7. 

In PC, i am getting all facebook updates but facebook chat isn't working. facebook chat is always OFF even when I click on "ON" (in new version ie. outlook.com)

On WP7, non of my friends appear online.

I am facing this problem from last 2 months. I have done all things, remove and add FB account many times but nothing happened. please help

    Hello,

    We would like to clarify if you're using a web messenger or Windows Messenger client. If you're using Windows Messenger client, are you connected in Facebook? Please check your settings by following the steps below:

    1. Go to http://profile.live.com/services/connect?sourceid=fb&authz=true
    2. Click "Connect with Facebook" ****3. Follow the connect flow in the pop-up.
    3. Please sign out and sign in your account in Windows Live Photo Gallery and try to upload the photos in Facebook again.

    If you've already done with the steps that has been provided, remove your connection in Facebook and try to add your Facebook account again using the steps that had been provided.

    Let us know the results afterwards.

    Am also facing the same problem. My Live ID is built on GMail ID. My FaceBook chat is not working on my Windows Phone 7.5 (Lumia 800) and Windows 8 since long time.

    I did tried to remove FaceBook connection completely and adding it again. Have done this exercise at least 20 times in last 2 months - but everything went in vain.

    One more thing to add - I've also added my outlook.com as a linked account and I thought that would have been issue. But even after unlinking outlook.com account, position is still the same.

    Desperately need FB Chat to be working on Windows Phone and Windows 8.

    • Does the issue happen when you are using the web Messenger on Hotmail/Outlook.com?
    • Can you view the contacts at http://people.live.com?
    • On the time that you have removed/re-added Facebook, is there any instance that the Facebook chat worked?

    1st answer - I've GMail ID and am not sure whether it helps or not, but issue is there on Windows Live Messenger and even on outlook.com website

    2nd answer - Yes, I do see my all contacts of FaceBook on people.live.com

    3rd answer - No. There was not even a single instance that Facebook chat worked.
