The only way to fix this is to reboot outlook. I end up doing this 10 time a day. Is there any fix?

I had also the issue with getting stuck on Sync Pending right after a few minutes of (re)starting Outlook, that I had to work with the Windows Outlook out of a VM.

Following approach seems to have solved the issue - at least for me:

I deleted/removed my Exchange account from Outlook completely, restarted Outlook, adding the Exchange account again.

Since then no "stuck on sync" issue anymore.

Don't know if it maybe was caused by my move from Outlook 2011 to Outlook 15.3 (the account with settings were moved automatically).

But I had the issue with version 15.3 and the current 15.6.

At least my Outlook is working now - maybe this helps one or the other as well.

    Kai

I had this problem also.  I turned off auto discover on my Mac for Outlook.  I am running version 15.6.  To do this you have to run a script.  I opened the tool called apple script and ran this command:

set background autodiscover of exchange account 1 to false

            end tell

Restarted my machine and now my mail is syncing.

Tell me more about this.  I tried to create the script and I get an error "A identifier can't go after this identifier"

I had the same issue w/ trying the script, but another forum thread has an easier method:

Since I've done this the problem hasn't reoccurred, but I've had long periods of stability before, so we'll see how this goes...

We continue to have the sync pending problem.  Tried the auto discover idea with no success.  Keep hoping that Microsoft will issue a fix soon.
